Carrots
Caden started on more solid foods last night. He's been eating cereal for about a month now, but last night was his first go at carrots. He thoroughly enjoyed it.

Refreshing
So we have returned from Branson. It was a wonderful trip! Caden did amazing!!! I was a little apprehensive about being a one hotel room for two nights, as Caden sleeps in his own room here at home. But without further ado, here is the story.
Before we left I was researching the hotel to find out more about it and what it had to offer. I found out that the rooms had tubs. I was so excited becuase there is nothing more relaxing to me then a nice long bubble bath. I even went out and bought some bubble bath for the event. :-) When we got to the hotel... no bathtub! SO FRUSTRATED!!!! My wonderful husband decided to call the front desk and ask for a room with a tub. They said no problem and came up to help us move. When we arrived on the 9th floor and opened the door to our new room... it was amazing. They had upgraded us to a condotel. Which means we had a living room, kitchen, huge bedroom and two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms became Caden's room. It was so wonderful. Thanks to Daniel for asking!!!
The conference was great too! Some of the content was similar to things we have heard or read before, but the tools that they gave us were really good. We're excited to start using them. :-)
Here are some pics of our wonderful hotel room.

A little better...
Well things are looking better. Caden has gradually increased his sleeping from 6 to 7 and last night 9 hours or sleep. YEAH!!! He did wake up twice last night, but for less then 5 min and went right back to sleep. YEAH!!!! He had a doctor's appointment on Friday and she said I was doing everything right and it was probably just a phase he was going through. Needless to say I think she was right. Caden weighs 15 lbs 7 oz now and is 26" long. This week we're taking a trip to Branson for a marriage conference. We'll get to see Zac and Erin and Jackson and Krista. Very excited!! That's all for now.

Frustrated
Okay, so I take back what I said in the last post. Caden is not sleeping throught the night... well he was, but he's not anymore. He has decided that waking up every 4 hours is a good idea. But this makes his parents not very happy. I have tried everything... well that I can think of. Anyone have any suggestions?? I did start him on rice cereal a few weeks back and about 2 weeks into it is when he stopped sleeping well. So I stopped the rice cereal thinking maybe that was causing problems. Nope, not it. I thought he might be teething, but he's fine during the day. Happy and playful. Nope, not it. Maybe it's because we don't turn the humidifier on any more. Turn it on. Nope not it. We're feeling pretty frustrated. We have to let him cry it out for about 15-20 min every time he wakes up until about 4 or 5am when I go in to feed him. Keep us in pray, lack of sleep is not fun.

Christmas
This is long overdue... but here are some photos of Caden's first Christmas. We spent a few days prior to Christmas in Arkansas and then spent Christmas day with my family. I was sick the entire time we were in AR. I lost my voice for two days and had an awful cough, Daniel then got it from me. We like to share. :-) Daniel is still trying to get over his. He lead worship this weekend at church, we had to pray him through, but he made it and did a great job. This was his first time to lead in the main service by himself. It was a great worship time.
Caden is now sleeping through the night... well except for last night. He decided he wanted to get up every 4 hours. But other then that he goes down at 8pm and wakes up to eat around 5am then back to sleep until 8am. It's great! He is such a joy. He "talking" non-stop now. He's lay on a blanket and just jabber away, even screaming with joy. It's so fun to listen too. He's just getting over his first cold. He's a good "sick" baby. He doesn't get real fussy, just tend to zone out and want to be held more.
